To make your practice evolve... discover the sup foil!

The supfoil consists in using a SUP board equipped with a hydrofoil to fly over the water in strong winds as well as in lightwing. The practice of sup foil allows you to discover new sensations of gliding and to move towards surf foil or wing foil in the future.

Stand up paddle equipment (sup)

Stand up paddle is a sport and has several disciplines. It can be a touring SUP, a SUP race or even SUP surfing . Each practice has its own equipment! You can find a lot of different boards in terms of shape, construction, volume, etc.

  • In supersurfing, the boards look like regular surfboards, but they are bigger and therefore thicker to be able to support your weight when standing still. Theyare also short and wide to facilitate maneuvering in the waves.
  • In sup race, we will look for a narrow and long rigid board ideal for the race which will allow to slide better and to go faster. We prefer a carbon construction for lightness.
  • In sup of excursion, one the choice of the inflatable or rigid paddle. The former is known for its practicality, stability and safety. The second, necessarily requires space but brings better sensations of glide.

For the rest of the equipment, there is the paddle which can be adjustable or fixed, with a wide or thin blade, in carbon or aluminum. It’s up to you, you have to test to find your comfort. The right paddle will allow you to paddle efficiently to gain speed without getting tired. Then, the leash is also important and there are all kinds. In sup surfing and sup touring, we will prefer the classic leash that we will attach to the ankle or under the knee. In sup-race, you should choose a spiral leash to avoid that it drags in the water during the race.
